Florida West Coast Writers Annual Contest

Our contest accepts manuscripts not yet published in any format from unpublished and published authors. The author does not have to be a member of Florida West Coast Writers or any other organization.  The Contest is one of few which offer invaluable feedback from two trained judges who comment in the body of the manuscript and complete a detailed score sheet. Our final round judges are actively acquiring editors who receive the top three scores in each category.

Check this website often for information about next year’s contest.

FWCW promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our contest. Any persons regardless of their race, color, gender, gender expression, religion/creed, age, disability, or sexual orientation are welcome and encouraged to enter the FWCW Contest. We maintain the highest degree of anonymity, therefore every entry is judged solely on the fundamentals of writing.

Agreement and Waiver: Entry in the FWCW Contest constitutes an agreement by the author to abide by all contest rules and decisions of the contest officials. The entrant agrees to hold harmless the Florida West Coast Writers, Inc., its Board of Directors, officers, members, the FWCW Contest, all contest judges, personnel and volunteers, heirs and assigns, et al., in any and all disputes arising from her/his entry(s) in the FWCW Contest.
